Carly Weiss, MSW, LCSW
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida, and I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. Originally from New York, I moved to the Sarasota area in 2020. I have experience working with adults, children, and families in a wide range of clinical and community-based settings.
I specialize in grief counseling, substance use treatment, family and couples therapy, trauma-informed care, and women’s health. I also focus on helping individuals navigate depression and anxiety resulting from complex life transitions. I have a progressive, creative, and person-centered approach to therapy. My therapeutic style draws from evidence-based modalities such as ACT, CBT, TF-CBT, and IFS. However, I know that healing looks different for everyone. I believe therapy should reflect the individuality of each person. My priority is to create sessions that are responsive, flexible, and tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
I have worked extensively with clients of various ages, ranging from early childhood through late adulthood. I am passionate about making mental health services accessible and empowering clients of all ages to seek care. In my practice, I strongly emphasize the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients have autonomy over their healing journey. I strive to foster a safe, supportive environment where individuals can reconnect with themselves, relearn themselves, feel more aligned, and tap into their personal strengths.
Outside of therapy sessions, I enjoy spending time with my dog and staying active through pickleball, paddle boarding, walking, and yoga. I also value creative expression through art and music.
